ALTERNATIVE CAKES

29 Make nostrils using the

pointed tool.

30 Using the round tip tool,

make the eyes.

31 Push the bone tool into the cheeks.

32 With the bone tool, start to firmly

press in from one cheek to another to

create a lip.

33 Using the pointed tool make a

mouth groove from one cheek

to another.

34 Using the bone tool, push up from

the main groove gently to create a

top lip.

35 With the fine end of the ball tool,

make a line running from the sides of

the mouth to the nostrils. And with

the larger end press above the eye to

create a lid.

36 Take two small balls of flesh and roll

into egg shapes. With the small bone

tool end press in three indentations

and smooth to the side of the head.

Repeat.

37 Take a ball of flesh paste and roll

into a sausage flattened on either end.

Push through a skewer, through the

neck and into the head at an angle.

CORSET

38 Take 35g of dark brown flower

paste, roll into a cylindrical shape and

pinch in the middle, making it smaller

at one end.

39 Flatten each end and make a line

down the centre with the

pointed tool.

40 Using the Old Piping Bag mould

and 2g of chestnut flower paste,

make buckles and glue them on

the corset.

41 Take 10g of modelling paste, roll

into a sausage shape, pinching gently

to create shoulders. Glue to the corset.

42 Draw a line up to the neckline and

make three doors for buttons.

43 Take the skewer with the head on

and push in through the corset and

top, check the neck is the correct

length. Trim if necessary. Slide the

corset and top back off and leave

to dry.

44 Take two small balls of white

flower paste. Flatten each ball,

dot each eye with a dab of glue then

smooth the paste to fit the eye hole.

45 Add some rustic dust around

the eyes.

46 Paint the lips with rejuvenator

spirit and rustic dust.

47 Dust cheeks, nose and chin with

flesh dust.

48 With rejuvenator and chocolate

dust, paint irises onto the eyes.

49 Paint on extra details: liquorice

for eyelashes and pupils, chestnut

for eyebrows and really weak

chesnut for freckles. Add a tiny

white highlight to the eyes.

LEGS

50 First make a ball with 30g of

caramel coloured flower paste and

flatten slightly. Cut off two pieces

as shown. ➜
