R WARS

DE IX:

INGS WE

W SO FAR

  1. THERE ARE TWISTS
In response to the question, “What’s your favourite ‘I did not see that
coming’ movie moment?” on Twitter in July, Chewbacca actor Joonas
Suotamo cheekily responded, “All of my next movie, but shhhh”. Could
J.J. Abrams have more twists than a tornado ready to unleash on
audiences when Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker hits in December?

  2. LUKE’S A FORCE GHOST
For a while Mark Hamill’s inclusion in the cast had people guessing if
Luke Skywalker was still alive or was returning as a Force ghost.
Turns out it’s the latter, the actor telling the Associated Press he was
set to “make a curtain call as a Force ghost.” Luke’s lightsaber, which
was ripped in half in The Last Jedi, also somehow makes a return.

  3. REY’S PARENTS REVEALED
Despite Kylo Ren’s insistence that Rey’s parents were filthy junk
traders, Daisy Ridley told USA Today that there’s more to the story.
“[Director J.J. Abrams] did say the question [over the identity of
Rey’s parents] will be answered. So, at the end of the film, you know
what the dealio is.” Heh, she said “dealio”.

  4. THE EMPEROR IS BACK
The distinct cackle of Sheev Palpatine heard at the end of the Star
Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker teaser announced the Wrinkled One
was back, but at this stage we don’t know in what capacity: Force
ghost? Clone? Bitter old dude who survived a fall from a very great
    height? We’ll soon find out...

  5. ...AS IS THE DEATH STAR
The teaser also revealed the remains of the Death Star – likely the
Death Star II from Return Of The Jedi, based on what we’ve seen.
Could this be linked to the Emperor’s return and possibly be the
location for Rey and Kylo’s final ocean-set showdown?

  6. ...AND LANDO
Yep, everyone’s favourite cape-sporting charmer is back, and he
may be bringing his daughter with him. Naomie Ackie’s character
Jannah is rumoured to be Lando’s offspring, the actress stating,
“Lando is a very charming man, so he could have children all over
the universe, that’s all I’m saying,” at Star Wars Celebration Chicago
    earlier this year.

  7. THE GANG ARE REUNITED
The Rise Of Skywalker is set about a year after The Last Jedi and it
will see Rey, Finn and Poe all in the same spot together since The
Force Awakens, the trio heading off an adventure together. “Them
being all together was the magic of this movie,” John Boyega told
    USA Today in April.

  8. THE KNIGHTS OF REN GET SCREEN TIME
Kylo Ren’s mysterious Knights Of Ren – seen in Rey’s Force vision in
The Force Awakens but completely sidelined in The Last Jedi – will
be getting some decent screen time come Episode IX. With cool
masks and even cooler weapons, expect them to be the equivalent
    of a half-dozen Boba Fetts.

  9. CARRIE FISHER IS IN IT
Despite her tragic death in 2016, Carrie Fisher’s General Leia will
return thanks to the use of unused footage from The Force Awakens
that has been repurposed to fit the events of The Rise Of Skywalker.

DRINK BLUE MILK
Or green milk, if that’s more your cup
of space tea. The plant-based ‘milks’
taste pretty much like a melted Splice

they’re absolutely delicious. Whether
