inappropriately and I’m coming to get
my revenge ,” says Noah, 48, with a laugh
of the 77-year-old rock legend. “No, I’ve
known David for a really, really long time.
His wife, Jan, married my wife and me.”
Who knew? “I came out to support him
and to bear witness to the fact that he’s
a true pioneer who’s been there at every
single stage of the evolution of rock ’n’ roll,”
raves Noah. “He’s still as prolific as ever.”
How did the duo first meet? “We’re
neighbors — we have ranches that are near
each other up in Santa Ynez,” says Noah. “Imethim21 someyearsago,andwe gravitatedto eachother.I dunno,
evenas oddas a friendshipwouldseembetweenthetwoof us,we’re
prettyclose.”Afterall theseyears,Noahsayshe’sno longerrock-
star-struck:“Thatwearsoffreallyquickly,”he explains.“Thenyou
