opening of Gringotts
On Thursday, 4th April, GLT Magazine
attended the launch of the new Gringotts
Wizarding Bank at The Warner Bros. Studio
Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter
which is now open to visitors.
Entering the new attraction is breath-taking
as you walk between towering marble pillars
and underneath giant crystal chandeliers.
Visitors will discover models of some of the
goblins who run the bank as well as costumes
and prosthetics belonging to Bogrod, Griphook
and many other goblin bankers. Plus, step
inside the Lestrange’s Vault and discover the
enchantments within.

New GLT Show venue
is creating a buzz
Some leading group travel organisers have
given their verdict on the new location for
this year’s Group Leisure & Travel Show.
Visiting the Marshall Arena at Stadium
MK, Milton Keynes, which is where
the 2019 exhibition will be staged on
Thursday 10th October, the GTOs were
impressed with the facilities.
Marian Durbidge, Herts Theatre Club and
Go Together Travel Club said: “I’m really
looking forward to it. Everything is so easy
at the Marshall Arena. And because it’s the
first time the Group Leisure & Travel Show has been held in Milton
Keynes there’s such a buzz about it – everyone will want to be here.”
Others said a major factor was the free parking – with hundreds
of spaces right outside the arena. Sylvia Saxon, chair of the New
Meridian Association said hosting the GLT Show in Milton Keynes
“made sense” and that visitors would be able to make a “real day of it
with shops, restaurants and everything you need on the doorstep”.
- GLT readers can now register for free entry to the show at
http://www.grouptravelshow.com/register. - For exhibiting details at the new venue, call Sharon Yandell on
01908-613323 or email [email protected].
Kate Humble, Simon Calder and Julie Peasgood have been
announced as this year’s celebrity speakers for the free-to-attend
Seminar Theatre at the show this year.
- Marian Durbidge,
Sylvia Saxon and Mary
Gotts give Stadium MK
the seal of approval.
