Group Leisure & Travel – May 2019

(Steven Felgate) #1

Cornwall’s Eden Project has been providing its visitors with
an incredible day out since 2001 - a global garden nestled
in a 50m-deep crater. Discover the largest rainforest in
captivity, the sights and scents of the Mediterranean and
exciting year-round events. Add an extra special touch to
your group visit with a pre-bookable tour or talk, providing
an invaluable insight into the history of Eden and its plants.
Packages for groups are available for 15 plus visitors who
must pre-book and arrive by coach or minibus.

Further north is the rugged Bamburgh Castle in
Northumberland, perfect for groups looking to venture into
the past while admiring some splendid scenery. You can
book on to one of its guided tours or opt for a ten minute
introductory talk at any other point during your visit.

Situated, quite dramatically, 45 metres above sea level,
the Medieval site includes the magnificent Keep, built in
the 12th century - the oldest surviving part of the castle.

Head to the capital

Enjoy a day out at the Houses of Parliament - which
has certainly been a hotbed of activity in recent months.
Explore the historic site on a special tour, walking in
the footsteps of politicians past and present in some
of the most iconic rooms in British history, whether
it be the green benches of the House of Commons or
Westminster Hall where Guy Fawkes and King Charles
I were found guilty of treason. Groups of ten or more
receive a discounted rate.

Wow your group...

Purple ribbons hang in the members’ cloak
room at the Houses of Parliament, allowing
space for MPs to hang up their sword as
well as their coat!

    The Houses of Parliament.
