Cooler

J

ust because the temperature may drop, that
doesn’t mean there’s less to do during the
cooler seasons; in fact there’s so much
to love about autumn and winter.
Here are just some ideas of how to
make the most of the changing seasons
with your group.

Autumnal delights

If you’re looking for some traditional
autumn events, you’ll be pleased to
know there’s plenty on offer.

Hever Castle in Kent is always a firm favourite
among groups, and the chillier months are no exception.
With the Autumn Colour event taking place from 1st
October, a rich display of colour envelopes the countryside.

From changing colours to wonderful walks, this feature offers some of
the best things to do with your group this autumn and winter.

So, pack your wellies and head to the castle to
enjoy the crunch of leaves underfoot and
spectacular autumn tints. The castle
is at its most photogenic during the
autumn months when the Boston
ivy on the front turns a vivid
shade of red.

Waddesdon Manor in
Buckinghamshire has its own
celebration with A Taste of
Autumn on 26th October which
includes an evening showcasing
the ties between field and fork as
well as supporting local food producers.
Cocktails and wine will be served as well as
a five-course meal. Another event on 20th October
is the Autumn Trees Walk with Mike Buffin and
Afternoon Tea.
