The grand Chatsworth in Derbyshire is hosting Bonfire
& Fireworks between 2nd-3rd November this year which
includes live entertainment, traditional bonfires and plenty
of sparkling fireworks. Another event to look out for this
autumn is the Chatsworth Arts Festival from 20th – 22nd
September. It promises a celebration of conversation,
performance and film, art, culture, fashion and design.

If you’re looking for a fun activity to entice all ages, head to
English Heritage’s biggest event – the re-enactment of the
Battle of Hastings – which takes place on 12th-13th October
this year at Battle Abbey, the site of the 1066 Battle of
Hastings in East Sussex. Witness hundreds of soldiers and
knights on horseback clash in a remake of what was the
most famous battle in history. Re-enactors will bring the
atmosphere and tension of the 1066 conquest to life as King
Harold and his Saxon army take on Duke William and his
Norman soldiers in a fight for the English throne.
