Group Leisure & Travel – May 2019

(Steven Felgate) #1
Longleat in Wiltshire celebrates the Great British
Autumn between 26th October and 3rd November
this year. It is included within a day ticket admission
and involves a variety of activities; previous years
have included flying displays, apple pressing and
pumpkin trails.

This year from 28th - 29th September, celebrate
autumn at the RHS Malvern Autumn Show, held
at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern,
Worcestershire. You’ll enjoy autumnal plants,
celebrity speakers, giant vegetables as well as cookery
demonstrations and workshops.

Alternatively, visit Castle Howard between 26th and
29th September for its Autumn Harvest & Flower
Festival. Don’t worry if the weather isn’t great,

head inside to enjoy free-flowing tours of the North
Yorkshire house allowing you to explore at your own
leisure and learn about its rich history. Group benefits
include discounts on House and Grounds admission,
free entry for the group leader and coach driver,
refreshment voucher for the coach driver, and free
coach parking. Fast track admission is also available.

If the weather doesn’t bite too much, and your
group loves animals, visit The Suffolk Punch Trust
in Woodbridge, Suffolk. Group tours can include a
welcome talk about the horses, a horse and wagon
ride, a tour of the harness room and stables and entry
to the heritage museum. Plus, this autumn look out
for the Halloween Horror event on 15th October
where you’ll solve clues to win rewards.

  • Castle Howard is a favourite for groups, with tours and
    catering available throughout the season.

  • Malvern Autumn Show celebrates the season
    with plants, speakers and displays.
