ELLE and MG3 brought together a trio
of Australia’s brightest young stars for an
evening driven by fashion, art and music

It’s not every day (or night) that you have your thoughts transformed from
brainwaves into art, all while sipping champagne, networking and dancing
to the sounds of one of Australia’s brightest music stars. But that’s what guests
were in for when they entered the world of the new MG3 AUTO at the
ELLE x MG3 event at Sydney’s Carriageworks recently, engaging with
some of the country’s most exciting emerging talent as the brand-new
drive was unveiled to some of the city’s most stylish.
With the room bathed in neon light and disco tunes, illumination artist
Laura Jade blew everyone’s minds with her interactive installation, pairing clever
BCI (brain-computer interface) technology with next-gen design creativity. Guests
were given a unique opportunity to try on Laura Jade’s tricked-up headset and
watch as their personality was projected onto the MG3 AUTO in real time.
Halfway through the night, the party really kicked into gear when – fresh
from a national tour including sold-out shows and a performance at Splendour
in the Grass – singer-songwriter Jack River hit the decks, treating guests to an
exclusive set of her signature dancefloor-ready hits and girl-power anthems.
But the biggest talking point of the evening? The inspired floral roof decal
created by style-setter Sarah Ellen, taking cues from the great Salvador Dali
(a personal favourite of the influencer) in a bespoke design, for those whose
desire to customise their new ride goes beyond choosing a fun exterior colour.
