NOTED

How did you go from software
engineering to dog collars? I’ve
always been a maker. When Pixel
came into our lives, I naturally
wanted to spoil him, so I’d make new
collars and leashes out of materials
that I loved. People started asking
about them, so I set up a space at
the farm and started taking orders.
How does he feel about the
Animals in Charge range? He
loves trying new things and getting
dressed up, so he’s made for this
role. He loves being the first dog in
the world to wear our collars.

Dirty dawg “We put a
bath outdoors partly so
we could have a place
to wash Pixel without
bringing him through the
house,” Alex explains.

Does he have a favourite piece?
He loves our fancy Cafe Collars. He
recently wore a special piece made
by a family in Jaipur, India, from
hand block-printed fabrics and he
was really strutting around in it.
What’s the best part about having
Pixel in your life? The companionship.
Every morning we get up and go for
coffee before work. That’s the first thing
we do, and the best part of the day.
We pretty much do everything together.
