they were working things out and Brad was
getting more quality time with the children.’
hen Angelina (whose rep didn’t respond to
a request for comment for this story) threw
a wrench into their plans recently. he insider
claims the actress decided she wanted all
of the kids to join her in London this UK
summer while she ilmed Maleicent 2. ‘She
basically felt she could just take them for
four months. Brad was naturally upset when
he learnt of her plans. He tried calling and
texting the kids individually and couldn’t
get a response.’
So Brad (whose rep also had no comment)
got the court involved. ‘He went to a judge
with a preponderance of evidence regarding
his alienation from the kids,’ says the insider.
After various hush-hush hearings in May- only one of which Angelina attended
personally, according to the documents –
the court decided that Brad (who attended
all of the hearings) was right. ‘Not having
a relationship with their father’ would be
‘harmful’, the judge in the case decreed.
he judge also outlined steps that Angelina
must take so Brad can have access to the
kids, including a detailed visitation schedule
(see left) and easy phone access between
Brad and each of the kids, without any
monitoring or interference from Angelina.

Billy Bob Thornton has

not just because he’s getting what he always
wanted, which is quality time with his brood.
‘She could lose primary custody of the kids
if she doesn’t take action to improve their
relationship with their father,’ adds the friend.
he insider agrees: ‘[Angelina] could really
endanger her custody if she pulls any
shenanigans like she has in the past.’
At last, Brad feels vindicated. For nearly
two years, the star has felt he was depicted
as the bad guy in the family’s messy situation.
In light of the FBI and DCFS investigations,
he thinks he came of as ‘an alcohol-swilling,
pot-smoking, irresponsible and abusive
husband and father – and that it was largely
Angelina’s doing,’ says the friend. Still, he did
everything that was asked of him ‘when it
came to family counsellors, supervised
visitations, abbreviated quality time with
the kids and family court demands.’ he
insider reveals, ‘Brad really turned his life
around. He feels he’s proven himself as
a loving father.’ On Sunday June 17, Father’s
Day in the US, he spent the day with his
children – a long-overdue reward.
It will be Angelina’s turn under the
microscope when she and Brad are due for
another court hearing on August 13. Goldie
says everything is on the line for Angelina.
‘[In the documents,] the judge basically said,
“hese kids better be warming up to their
dad and having a great summer with their
dad with the limited time I’m giving him in
this agreement, because by the time August
rolls around, if these kids continue to be
