In an historic ceremony in the NZ
capital in late April the Acting British
High Commissioner cut the ribbon
on the first of 114 Optare MetroCity
buses to be delivered to Tranzit to
service the Wellington region.
The lightweight fuel-efficient
monocoque Optares are powered
by Mercedes Benz engines and
are Euro 6 compliant ensuring
clean and efficient buses for the
commuters of the Kiwi capital.
Bus Corp Oceania has announced
it will be opening new offices
to represent Optare in both
Wellington and Auckland in
coming months on the back of
the significant Tranzit fleet deal.
Meantime on the other side of the
ditch BCO has opened a new office
in Sydney’s west at Smithfield.
BCO’s fleet of Optare
demonstrators are available
for route trial by prospective
customers, although be warned
they are already in strong demand.
