Bus Corp Oceania (BCO) is the Optare Distributor for Australia
and New Zealand.
BCO is a specialist vehicle distributor and after sales organisation that
is supported technically, financially and logistically by one of Australia’s
largest Automotive Groups that strengthens Optare’s representation to
help expand the brands market reach on both sides of the Tasman.
This role is an expansion to our already successful sales team.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the overall responsibility of this
role is to provide key account management to bus operators and local
government authorities.
Based in our Melbourne or Sydney offices, this role will be responsible
for the overall strategy and success of bus sales within key geographic
regions. This includes the strategy for pricing and profitability,
demonstration fleet management and sales promotions.
This is a great employment opportunity for a dedicated and highly driven
individual with outstanding communication skills and a passion for
relationship management to support this position.

A strong aftermarket network is already in place, with strong investments
from Optare globally to drive sales success in this region. Optare is part of
the World’s No. 4 ranked bus manufacturing group with diesel and electric
bus products available to all markets.
The successful candidate will have:


  • Previous experience in a similar role within the bus industry.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to
    give guidance and assistance where necessary.

  • A good understanding of OEM policies, operations and
    standards.

  • Strong influential and relationship building skills.

  • A proven capacity to work autonomously.

  • Heavy Duty Driver’s License.

  • Natural presentation and motivational skills and friendly approach
    with a willingness to get their hands dirty.


Proven success in a bus sales role is essential.
