So you think having two or three dogs

is a handful? Joanne Bednall meets the

owners with houses full of canines...

Y

our Dog’s recent social media
shout-out for readers living in
multi-dog households triggered
a fantastic response. In fact, we were
overwhelmed with replies from owners who
not only have two or three dogs (‘Is One
Enough?’, September issue), but two who
have seven, and one who even has 13 (by
our calculations, that’s 52 muddy paws to
clean after every walk!). Having such a large
canine family presents a whole new set of
challenges, so we asked three owners how
they cope, what sacrifi ces they have had to
make, and the best — and worst — things
about living with so many dogs...

One dog, two dogs,
three dogs... more?
