The idea behind Project E2 was
simple, bring to market a focused
range of endurance specific products, for-
mulated for the nutritional needs of elite
and non-professional athletes preparing
to go the distance. It’s easy to think that
the market for sports nutrition is satu-
rated and there’s little space for new
brands, when in fact the endurance spe-
cific brands are few and far between.
Kat Collins, head of marketing,
explains: “In a market which is continu-
ing to drive growth, we wanted to ensure
that those consumers who are actively
investing time and money in their train-
ing, also start to consider the wider needs
of nutrition and how this can ultimately
improve performance and recovery.
“Consumers are becoming more
knowledgeable and more accepting of
sports nutrition, with protein becoming
the foundation of many people’s daily

diet. The rise of protein within retail and
convenience sectors is a demonstrable
example of this, however there is still
some way to go in demystifying the good
from the bad.”
Project E2’s product range is a simple,
yet considered range of pre, intra and
post work out supplements, using cut-
ting edge ingredients and adhering to
strict quality guarantees.
Collins adds: “From our research and
working closely with athletes, the prod-
ucts have been individually tailored,
with formulations that deliver on func-
tion, taste and performance.”
Project E2 debuts in the UK from
March. A nationwide seeding campaign,
targeting a network of endurance ath-
letes and professional teams will fur-
ther support social media activation.
Sampling and trade activation will also
feature heavily throughout the year. n
