WHAT'S HOT
DIESEL & DIRT SUCCESS
Aussie Pumps reported a great success from the
huge Diesel Dirt & Turf exhibition held at Panthers,
Penrith, Sydney in mid April. Record crowds and fine
weather made the show a winner for contractors and
earthmovers.
Aussie Pumps reported massive interest in their range
of diesel drive pressure cleaners and big diesel self-
priming pumps. As Australia’s leading manufacturer
of high pressure water blasters, the company offers a
full range of hot and cold machines with diesel power
suitable for the earthmoving construction market.
“A huge driver for our business has been the advances
made in technology and design for diesel drive
machines in the construction market”, says Aussie
Pumps’ Chief Engineer, John Hales. The company
produces a range of high pressure cleaning apparatus
used by contractors and councils across the nation.
Aussie Pumps’ range includes trolley or trailer
mounted diesel drive pressure cleaners in a range of
up to 500 bar (7,300psi). Their design team is driven
by customer demand for more efficient machines
that get the work done faster, saving fuel, water and
of course manpower!
The push towards bigger, more effective blasters is
on and that includes steam cleaners for repairing
breakdowns in the field.
One of the stars of the show was Aussie’s silenced
steam cleaner, the Aussie Hydro Hush in both its
standard and Hydro-loop configurations. “The
hydro-loop version of the Hush was a real winner
because it enables councils to comply with EPA rules
by introducing the concept of “clean and capture”
Hales said.
Clean and Capture means that the EPA Act is not
breached by contaminated waste water from site
cleaning being flushed down stormwater drains and
into creeks, rivers or even high profile locations like
Sydney Harbour.
“Council customers told us they would be putting the
Hydro Hush in their budgets with some wanting to
get delivery before the 30th June 2018”, said Hales.
Other stars of the Aussie stand included self-priming
trash pumps, to 6” suction and discharge. Those
big 6” pumps move up to 6,000L per minute. Diesel
drive versions are claimed to be super simple to
operate, and come complete with engine protection
equipment.
Aussie Pumps is also focussed on developing a range
of hydraulic drive high pressure cleaning gear and self-
priming high pressure pumps for mobile applications.
The company claim they are seeing a trend towards
water carts becoming more than just dust suppression
units but also doubling as high pressure cleaning
vehicles for plant and equipment on site. “Demand
for keeping plant clean are not just about cosmetics”
said Hales. It’s all about effective maintenance.
Nobody wants to have to work on a machine that is
covered in oil leaks or dust”.
Overall the company booked a number of orders and
is delighted with the response from the huge crowd
of spectators. The team at Aussie Pumps say that
shows like Diesel & Dirt bring them closer to a wider
range of users.
“It is the users who drive Australian Pumps design
team’s criteria for producing more efficient, safer and
more environmentally friendly machines”, said Hales.
Aussie Pumps is proud of its award winning
equipment, and plans to be at the next Diesel & Dirt
in an even bigger way with equipment that is heavily
influenced by user’s requirements for better, faster
and safer equipment.
