Australian Earthmoving – June 2018

(Darren Dugan) #1

new Kobelco SK135SR-5 Tier 4 Final 13

tonne machine they have just purchased. It

is an outstanding machine that feels good

to operate, has plenty of power and loads

of space in the cab featuring all the creature

comforts. Particularly valuable to Bede’s

business is the efficient carbon emissions

control. As well as doing his bit for the

environment when tendering for government

contracts, using machines of this caliber

with Tier 4 compliant low emission engines

is highly regarded and considered preferable

for New South Wales government work. The

new 13 tonne Kobelco’s are extremely versatile

and offers superior functionality on a job

site, it has zero swing and surround cameras

providing exceptional visibility.

Around sixty percent of their work is within

the building space and they are in the
fortunate position of selecting to work for a
handful of local builders. This keeps them
busy on interesting jobs with fantastic builders
preparing new sites, carparks, driveways and
other affiliated building work. The remainder
of their time is monopolized by constant
works required by six local council shires in
the area.

Everyone knows that with owning machinery
it is just as important to keep it well
maintained. Bede feels there is no one
better to be responsible for the service work
than the dealership. Capital Construction
Equipment provides outstanding service
on the Kobelco machines. They visit on-site
whenever contacted, servicing is completed
quickly guaranteeing a machine is never down
