The world’s largest solar and hydrogen plant
has been proposed for construction in Crystal
Brook. Partially funded by the state government
with $25 million of grants and loans, the Crystal
Brook hydrogen ‘superhub’ will produce up to
400 megawatts of solar and wind power each
day, which will potentially produce 20,000
kilograms of hydrogen daily. French developer
Neoen Australia also operates the Hornsdale
Wind Farm in Jamestown. Subject to approvals
where additional funding will be provided, the
construction of this facility will create up to
260 jobs during construction, and a further 40
operational jobs once complete.
Planning is currently in progress for a new
Travelodge at 18 Bentham Street, Adelaide.
The 4-star hotel will comprise 183 rooms at 18
storeys high, along with an alfresco bar on the
first floor, and a restaurant on the first floor. The
project designs will progress with Pruszinski
Architects, sought by developer Mandala
Property Group.
A development application is currently under
assessment with Onkapringa Council for the
Latitude Aldinga Beach development at 135
Rowley Road, Aldinga Beach. The project is
estimated to be over $40 million in construction.
The development will feature 4 residential flat
buildings with heights of 3, 4 and 5 storeys. The
total number of apartments are expected to
be 164, along with 79 serviced apartments, 36
independent living spaces and 3 commercial
spaces. Developer Winwest Pty Ltd has engaged
Tectvs for the design. If approved, it is expected
that construction will be staged.
