The 2018 Landscape Australia Conference will explore
Australia’s emerging position in the Asia-Pacific region and
reveal insights into Asian landscape design cultures. The
conference features an impressive line-up of keynote speakers
from New Zealand, India, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore and
China. A lively series of panel discussions will complement the
presentations, which will help to identify tools and methods for
Australian landscape architects and designers, architects,
planners and urbanists. Discounted student tickets are available
and a fringe program will be announced closer to the event.

ASIA PACIFIC ARCHITECTURE FORUM,
BRISBANE, 10–23 MARCH 2018

The Asia Pacific Architecture Forum returns to Brisbane
in 2018. The two-week, city-wide program includes a suite
of events that will explore the pivotal role architects and
designers have in shaping the culture and economy of the
region. The forum centrepiece is a one-day symposium on
16 March. The symposium will present an impressive line-up
of speakers, including former editor of Journal of Landscape
Architecture (JoLA) Kelly Shannon (pictured), from the

IFLA WORLD CONGRESS, SINGAPORE,
18–21 JULY 2018

The 55th International Federation of Landscape Architects
(IFLA) World Congress will be held in Singapore 18–21 July


  1. The congress will bring the international landscape
    architecture community together to explore the themes of
    Biophilic City, Smart Nation and Future Resilience. The
    congress will include an opening ceremony, a conference,
    exhibitions, technical tours and a full fringe program, which
    is yet to be announced. The congress is co-hosted by the
    Singapore Institute of Landscape Architects (SILA) and
    held in conjunction with the Singapore Garden Festival.
