Helen Armstrong
Professor emeritus Helen
Armstrong was the inaugural
professor of landscape architecture
at Queensland University of
Technology (1997–2003). She is
currently a practising landscape
architect and research associate
with a number of landscape
architecture programs
internationally.Tom Harper
Tom Harper is the lead of creative
strategy at Placemark, a branding,
print and communications
consultancy based in Melbourne.
He has worked locally and abroad
as a landscape architect, urban
designer, graphic designer and
academic, contributing to and
leading numerous award-winning
projects.Heike Rahmann
Heike Rahmann is a lecturer and
program manager of Landscape
Architectural Design at RMIT
University. She has practice
experience in Europe, Asia, and
Australia and has co-authored two
books, including Tokyo Void:
Possibilities in Absence (2014)
with Marieluise Jonas.Jillian Walliss
Jillian Walliss works in the
University of Melbourne’s landscape
architecture program, where she
teaches landscape theory and design
studios. In 2016 she co-authored the
book Digital Technologies and
Landscape Architecture:
re-conceptualising design and
making with Heike Rahmann.Catherin Bull
Catherin Bull is a retired academic
and practitioner. She advises
government nationally on open
space, urban design and
development and currently chairs
South Bank Corporation, Brisbane.Brock Hogan
Brock Hogan has worked in urban
design research and landscape
architecture practice, applying his
specialist knowledge in parametric
design to a variety of projects. He is
now the lead of digital strategy at
Placemark, producing visualizations
and multimedia services.
Craig Czarny
Craig Czarny is a landscape architect
and urban designer with almost
thirty years’ experience across
design practice and an array of local
and international projects. As a
director of Hansen Partnership he
is regularly involved in broadscale
land management and city-planning
initiatives across South-East Asia.Jeffrey Hou
Jeffrey Hou is Professor of
Landscape Architecture at the
University of Washington, Seattle.
His work focuses on the agency of
individuals and marginalized social
groups in shaping the built
environment. He is known for his
pioneering work on guerrilla
urbanism and bottom-up
placemaking.
