One tendstolose’em. This
ispreciselythe situation
which occurred with Fred C.
Bungee. Over a periodof 15
yearshelost all his Ockies,
and when he went to produce

’em for the motorcycling

publichefoundeveryone

whoneededsome, already

had plenty.

The little buggers have a

wanderlust, andinevitably

escape andbreedin the

dark corners ofgarages, at

thebottomofpanniers and

saddlebags andbehindthe

doors oflaundries. Every

fewmonthstheygetsickof

the same bike andgroup of

fellow-Ockies andattach

themselvestotreesat

rallies or crawl into strange

tents. Theythen entangle

themselves withtheother

Ockies andbreedabit more.

I’mafraidthatFred

C.Bungee had createda

monster. Nobodyneeded

tobuyhis OckyStraps(and

I’ve certainlyneverbought

one) since all anyone had to

dowaswaitfor one to take

ashine to’em. FredC.died

abroken, embitteredand

penniless man. And ifyou

believe all that,you’d bloody

believe in thehereafter too!
