Worth visiting because: Carols off ers a wide selection of
top-quality quilting fabrics – we stock all your favourites. We
have introduced a New Sampler Quilt into our Beginners’ Class
for 2018, which is Modern, and filled with lots of technique to get
you started in quilting. Find all the best notions and equipment,
as we stock Clover, Olfa and Matilda’s Own products. We can
service your sewing machine or overlocker and specialise in
running monthly groups, along with all our classes.
What we recommend: We off er lots of kits in store, so that all the
fabric selection has been done for you. Our Green Tea and Sweet
Beans Kit (pattern by Jen Kingwell) is hugely popular, along with
quilt kits and patterns by Claire Turpin Design and Tied with a
Ribbon. Carols of Midlands stocks Pfaff , Janome and Brother
sewing machines and overlockers. There are lots of social classes
through the week so you can come and sit and sew with an
experienced teacher to help you through your project.

Maddington: We are
located across the
road from Centro
Maddington
shopping centre in
Maddington, 20km
south east of central
Perth in the City
of Gosnells.
Where in
Maddington: Easy
access from Albany
Highway with close
ties to Roe and
Tonkin Highways and
a five minute walk
from the Maddington Train Station. Parking is available at the
store or across the road at Centro Maddington shopping centre.
Who plays host: Jenny and Andrew have run the store since
2005 and have a number of extremely helpful and
knowledgeable shop assistants and teachers in store.
Worth visiting because: We carry a huge range of Tilda,
including all the current ranges. We also carry Alison Glass,

Robert Kaufmann, Tula Pink, Kaff e Fassett, Moda Fabrics,
Northcott, Maywood, novelty prints, solid fabrics, and a huge
range of backings. We are passionate about Australian pattern
designers and fabrics. We stock Brother, Janome and PFAFF
sewing machines along with cutting system, Accuquilt, and the
Brother Scan n Cut system. Our thread range is huge; we carry
Cottage Garden Threads, Gutermann, Robison Anton, Rasant
and Wonderfil. Plus we off er a long-arm quilting service. Our
classroom runs 6-7 days a week, including evening classes
and interstate and international guest teachers. Bus tours
are welcome and, if you let us know you are coming, the urn
will be on and specials will be organised for your tour. Our
haberdashery is kept stocked, and we always have that little
bit to fix your dress, jeans or whatever.
What we recommend: We love our Tilda and run the Tilda Club
monthly along with a Tilda Sew Along. We also run Machine
and Hand Embroidery Classes along with Patchwork and EPP.
Kraft Daze is the Sole Distributor in WA of Tailormade Sewing
and Cutting Tables. We carry the full range of these products
in store and can deliver within the Metro Area.
