and Rachel have completed

all the appliqué by hand

using several different

methods to turn under the

edges of the fabric and our

instructions will be based

on the particular methods

that Sarah and Rachel used

for each block. However, the

designs lend themselves to a

variety of different methods,

so adapt the instructions

to your preferred approach.

Seam allowances of^11 ⁄ 4 in are

used throughout for the

piecing. Use three strands

of embroidery floss for the

embroidery in this project

except where otherwise

noted. Instructions are

given for working from the

printed Pattern Sheet in

the magazines, but you can

download the digital patterns

from http://www.homespun.net.au

and print them out instead.
