OUR FABRICS
This quilt uses a large variety of
print and solid fabrics selected
by Sarah and Rachel from Tilda’s
‘LemonTree’ and ‘Devonstone’and
Robert Kaufman ‘Essex Yarn
Dyed’ ranges, distributed in
Australia by 2 Green Zebras.

SPECIAL NOTE
Before starting the project, cut:
One strip, 28in wide down the
length of the Devonstone Mid
Green fabric (Fabric DD) and put
it aside to use for the border.
This will ensurethat you have
sufficient of thisfabric to have
borders without seams in them.

One strip, 37in across the
width of the Devonstone Light
Turquoise fabric (Fabric BB)
to use for the sashings
between the blocks.

Q12mm (^11 ⁄ 2 in) bias tape maker
Q A3 sheet of paper
Q Compass able to draw circles with
a diameter of 11in
Q Appliqué pins or glue
Q emplate plastic and fine-point T
permanent-marking pen
Q Erasable fabric-marking pen

Q Rotary cutter, ruler and mat
Q General sewing supplies

Stitches used: Backstitch, colonial or
French knot, satin stitch, split stitch

PREPARATION AND CUTTING

From the ticking stripe Fabric Y, cut:


  • One square, 20in (background).
    This square has been cut oversize,
    and will be trimmed after the
    appliqué has been completed.

From light turquoise Fabric BB, cut:


  • One strip, 20in across the width
    of the fabric. From it, cut two strips,
    1in wide on the bias (wreath). Put the
    remainder of this strip of fabric aside

  • you will use it again to cut bias strips
    for the wreaths in Blocks 3, 7 and 9.

Lay an A3 sheet of paper over
the wreath printed on the Pattern
Sheet and trace the outer edge of the
wreath onto it with a pencil. Then
