Hi PETS,
First of all, welcome back Lauren! I hope
your baby is going OK. This is about our new
addition to the family ...
For Mother’s Day, my mum got a kitten
named Nelly. We got her from Scone and she
was from a breeder. My dad, my sister, Lily, my
brother, Jack, and I had to travel over to get her.
She is nine weeks old and is a purebred Ragdoll.
She is really cute but my cat Pounce doesn’t
like her. She is very playful and she always plays
with Pounce’s toys! She always sleeps and goes
on everyone’s bed. Please put this in your next
magazine as this is my fi rst time writing to you.
Also, I really want to be a vet when I grow up
and your mag is great inspiration!
Thanks, Clare Canham
Ed: Clare, thank you so much for your warm
welcome on my return! I really appreciate it. And
I am thrilled you are enjoying your new kitten.
Ragdolls make fabulous pets, don’t they? It
sounds as if Nelly is fi tting into your family just
fi ne. I’m sorry to hear Pounce doesn’t like her;
with time and space, hopefully both cats will
start to get on. In the meantime, ensure there are
multiple litter trays and food and water bowls
so Pounce doesn’t ever feel as if he or she has
to compete for resources. Make sure you show
Pounce lots of love and attention, too. Hopefully,
this will help your paw family achieve some
peace. Thanks again for writing in.
