Susie Beard from Cherry Tree Warren in
Victoria has been breeding rabbits for 35 years.
While Netherland Dwarfs are her specialty, she
says rabbits are becoming more popular as pets
than ever before — and their beautiful looks are
just one of the reasons why.
“They are very cute and come in a huge range
of colours and types, ears sticking up or ears
lopping down. They are captivating when they
are bouncing around having fun,” she says.

Choosing the right pet can be a tricky task.
With so many wonderful furry, fl uff y, scaly,
slimy and feathery creatures available, how
