I like the way the new bikes look as
well, all small and racey. The only
thing I don’t like on the new bikes is
the stock bars – damn those things
are high!

125SE-R
It was a little over a year ago that
Sherco announced the addition of a
completely new 125 enduro bike and I,
for one, was stoked to see it in the
metal. I have been going through a bit
of a 125 phase for the last six months,
so the 125 SE-R was the bike I was
most eager to get on and pound out the
laps. It looks the goods too, with FMF
exhaust, trick carbon-fibre end cap on
the muffler and blue rims. One factor

that makes the Sherco a standout in
the 125 2T class is its electric start.
You might think a 125 doesn’t need
electric start but, let me tell you, it’s
bloody handy.
It feels a bit odd pushing a button
and hearing the sound of a 125, but
when it fires up everyone within
earshot grins. The note that the
exhaust produces is music to one’s
ears, and I couldn’t help just sitting
there and revving it on the spot. After
a few minutes, boss man Dave told me
to get out there and ride the bike, so I
took off down the track and started
smiling some more. While the test
track wasn’t ideal for a 125 – with
short straights, mammoth bumps and
