Lay the silencer on your workbench. I like
to use a stainless steel one as it can be

wooden one.

WHEN

THE TIME

COMES
THE GIVEAWAY THAT your muffl er needs
repacking is when your bike starts to
become excessively loud or the exhaust
note gets harsh. When it becomes high
pitched and irritating to the ears or the
muffl er is sounding hollow then it’s time
to repack it. On bikes that are running
rich or with too much oil in the fuel, the
muffl er packing can fi ll up with
two-stroke. This is generally indicated by
the excessively loud, high-pitched noise
that the silencer is making or the
two-stroke oil dripping from the silencer
all over your plastics and swingarm.
