SX FANS

WHEN ADB MADE the trek
to Horsham for the
Australian Junior Motocross
Championships, something
interesting caught our eye.
The Horsham Motorcycle
Club plays host to the Holden
On Tight museum that
includes a number of
interesting artefacts from
Australian and international
dirtbike racing.
One of those items is a box
of Wheaties with AMA
Supercross legend Ryan
Dungey on the front. Even
more notable, is that the box
is signed by the man himself.

Wheaties are an American
cereal, kind of like Corn
Flakes. Wheaties is known for
regularly featuring athletes
on the packaging.
Dungey became the fi rst
motocross star to feature on
the box back in 2016. It was
big news and presumably
snatched up by many fanatics
America-wide.
But because we don’t get
Wheaties here in Oz, seeing a
box in the fl esh is a big deal.
You don’t think so? Well, it is
to me. Which pro would you
like to see on a box of Corn
Flakes here in Oz?

ORANGE WITH

YOUR CEREAL?

AFTER MONTHS OF
speculation, Supercross the
Game has fi nally been
announced. It has been a long
time coming, but AMA
Supercross fans will at last get
a video game that includes
offi cial tracks, riders, bikes
and sponsors. The game will
be based on the last AMA SX
season and will allow players
to step into the boots of their
favourite riders in search of
supercross glory. Italian game
developers Milestone are the
wizards behind the new title,
having already had success in
the dirtbike world with the
MXGP: The Game series.
Milestone is best known for its
WSBK, MotoGP and WRC
titles. There has been some
talk that Supercross the Game

will simply be a rebadged
version of MXGP3, but many
are hoping for an all-new
game with new physics and
game modes. Supercross will
feature the 450SX, 250 East
and 250 West classes, as well
as the Monster Cup in Las
Vegas. There will likely be a
full career mode that will allow
players to rise through the
ranks and join different
factory teams, or create their
own. There will also be bike
customisation and there is
even talk of a track editor
mode. Strangely, there is no
sign of Eli Tomac or Josh
Grant in the early footage.
Must have been injured at the
time. The game comes too late
for Christmas, being released
early next year.
