RHYS BUDD IS an up-and-coming

junior who is a member of Lee

Hogan’s BCP Pro Circuit Honda Team.

Budd has won multiple

championships at junior level. He

recently nabbed a silver medal in

the 250cc class at the AJMX and

also travelled to America to race in

the Mammoth Motocross in

California. We caught up with him

to fi nd out a bit more about him.

Craziest thing you’ve done on a bike?

Went 120ft on a 140ft double at Louee on

a 125. I broke both my legs.

Funny story? After a long day at Lakes

MX track in Newcastle, Dad had sore feet

from marshalling and watering all day.

He took his shoes off and the house keys

were in there.

Goals in the sport? I want to get a ride

for next year and long term, I would love

to race overseas.
