I’ve been reading ADB

since its inception in the

mid ’70s and figure it’s

time for a minor

contribution. I have

second-generation riders

now and my 11-year-old

son, Tate, would get a

massive kick out of having

a pic in your great mag

(and some bragging rights)

and it would surely aid in

the healing process.

Pictured (right) is his

little gift to me courtesy of

what appeared to be a

minor off at our property

in Bylong (near Mudgee,

NSW), resulting in this

little paper cut. Believe or

not, he was fully kitted out

at the time and ended up

with a nice crease in the

lense of his goggles and

that was all the visible

evidence. I dread to think

what would have

happened if he didn’t have

quality gear on at the time.
