Suzuki offers a six-model line up in its V-Strom range. The V-Strom 650XT
featured in this review is also available in a LAMS version, as is the standard
V-Strom 650, which features alloy wheels rather than the XT’s wire spokers,
and misses out on the handguards and plastic lower engine cowling of the
XT. At just $10,990 (plus ORC) the V-Strom 650 is $1000 cheaper than the
650XT. Alongside the four V-Strom 650s, there are two V-Strom 1000s: the
standard one fi tted with alloys and priced at $15,790 (plus ORC), while the
V-Strom 1000XT is fi tted with spoke wheels and hits the showroom fl oor at a
$700 premium over its brother.
