TRAVELLING WITH KIDS?Sit back and relax knowing you
have complete control over the types of media your child
can access. Our video content is rated to help you understand what
content is suitable for specific audiences. The easy to use parental
controls allow you to select the content you’re comfortable allowing
your kids to access. To access these controls: Seatback IFE:
Tap the Settings icon located in the menu bar at the top of the
screen, select [Parental Control], choose the desired ratings level
from the options available. To unlock, ask our cabin crew for help.
Wireless IFE: Tap the Settings icon, select [Parental Control],
choose the desired ratings level from the options available,
then set a PIN to save these settings. Make sure you set
a PIN you will remember as you will need to re enter this PIN
to change or unlock Parental Control on your current flight.
CLOSED CAPTIONS:We have a selection of movies available with
closed captions, which are located in the Closed Caption category
under the Watch section. Look out for the symbol on the synopsis
screen and activate the function ater pressing Play.

systems and Windows phones and tablets are currently not
supported on the Wireless In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: In these Terms and Conditions, ‘Virgin Australia’ and ‘VA’ mean the Virgin
Australia group of airlines. 1. Virgin Australia ofers In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) on selected aircrat
types and routes. Guests may experience various types of IFE on flights operated by VA if installed or
available. The type of IFE experienced will be dependent on aircrat type, routes, availability and fare
class. Not all types of IFE will be ofered on all flights and some flights may have no IFE. 2. Examples of IFE
that may be ofered on flights operated by Virgin Australia are: Port able IFE (which may include: Wireless
IFE using a guest ’s own device; Wireless IFE using a Tablet provided by VA; stored content on a Tablet
provided by VA); Seatback IFE (which may include: Seatback IFE [audio/video on demand]). 3. Where
available, IFE is ofered free of charge to guests travelling on Business Class fares. Where portable IFE
devices are available, guests travelling on Business Class fares will receive first priority when portable
IFE devices are allocated. 4. Where available, Seatback IFE is ofered free of charge to all guests.


  1. Where available, access to Wireless IFE via a guest ’s own device is ofered free of charge to all
    guests. 6. Virgin Australia’s IFE programming schedules are subject to change at any time without notice
    and content may not always match the content listed in the Voyeur magazine. 7. Virgin Australia has
    carefully selected the channels and programs to ensure a wide variety of program choices. However, VA
    does not have the ability to censor programming and accepts no responsibility for any footage shown on
    IFE programming which may be ofensive or distressing to any guest. 8. The responsibility of appropriate
    viewing for minors rests solely with the parent or guardian of the minor. 9. Virgin Australia is not
    responsible for any interruptions to the service including, without limitation, those due to acts of nature,
    power failure, satellite signal failure or any other cause. 10. Virgin Australia is not responsible if IFE is not
    available on a flight due to a technical fault or serviceability issues. 11. Where Wireless IFE is available and
    the guest ’s own personal device is used, Virgin Australia is not responsible for battery life or charging of
    devices. It is the responsibility of the guest to ensure that the appropriate IFE application or sotware has
    been downloaded on the device and that the activation process is complete prior to boarding the aircrat.
    VA is not responsible if a guest ’s device is unable to connect to the Wireless IFE system. 12. i. Guests
    must not share their device with other guests. ii. Content on our IFE system is made for single person
    viewing only. iii. Guests are in control of their own devices and should shut their devices down if they find
    any content made available on the IFE to be unacceptable. 13. Guests must comply with any crew
    instructions to shut down their device in circumstances reasonably required by Virgin Australia.

  1. Download Virgin Australia’s free Entertainment App from the Apple StoreTM or Google PlayTM store.
    For Windows laptops with Microsot Silverlight*

  2. Ensure the latest version of Microsot® Silverlight® and Internet Explorer® is installed.

  3. Visit our test page at http://www.boardconnect.aero/?ac=va to individualise your device.
    Once on board, to access Wireless IFE, go to your device settings: switch flight mode to ‘ON’, activate wi-fi and connect to the
    ‘VirginAustralia’ wireless network. On phones/tablets: open the Entertainment App; On laptops: open Internet Explorer® and visit
    http://www.boardconnect.aero. *Service Update Unfortunately, Microsot® has withdrawn support of Silverlight® for MacBooks. We are
    working to make system adjustments to restore MacBook compatibility on Wireless IFE as quickly as possible. Please bear with us
    as we do this work. We will release notices as soon as access is restored.
    TABLETS PROVIDED BY VIRGIN AUSTRALIA
    Enjoy a high-definition viewing experience with entertainment
    on demand. AVAILABLE ON Selected domestic and
    international short-haul flights.
    MORE INFO Virgin Australia has a limited number of
    In-Flight Entertainment Tablets available on selected flights
    for complimentary use by Business Class guests.
    On some flights you can use the Tablet to access Wireless
    In-Flight Entertainment; on others, the Tablet ofers a
    pre-loaded selection of movies, TV shows and music.

HOW TO CONNECT TO THE INTERNET

  1. Ensure your device is in flight mode, then activate Wi-Fi.

  2. Connect to the ‘VirginAustralia’ wireless network.

  3. Launch your browser. If it doesn’t automatically connect,
    type airborne.gogoinflight.com.

  4. Select ‘Get Connected’ to access the internet.
