One hand facing heaven, one facing earth.
Whirling Dervishes are mesmerising to watch,
but their ceremony has a deeper meaning;
denying the ego and bringing them closer to
God. In mid-December they perform at the
Rumi Festival in Konya,Turkey, honouring the
13th-century Sufi poet who inspired their dance.
