T
heir stories were heartbreaking.
In the days after the first sexual
misconduct allegations against
producer Harvey Weinstein
were made on October 5, 30
women – including Angelina
Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ashley Judd, Rose
McGowan, Rosanna Arquette, Heather
Graham, Cara Delevingne and Mira Sorvino,
as well as unknown Hollywood hopefuls
- shared chilling stories about being sexually
harassed and assaulted, and even claimed
to have been raped by the powerful executive.
However, more dark secrets are exposed
daily. And while Harvey, 65, was fired from
The Weinstein Company and left by his
wife of nearly 10 years, Marchesa designer
Georgina Chapman, before reportedly
checking himself into a rehab facility, it’s
about to get even worse for him – and for
others in the movie business.
‘There are many, many more stories to
be told,’ warns a source. The mogul could
face criminal charges – the New York Police
Department confirmed it is conducting
‘a review to determine if there are any
‘During the release of
Playing by Heart in the
late 1990s, he made
unwanted advances on
her in a hotel room, which
she rejected,’ reports
The New York Times.
‘I had a bad experience
with Harvey Weinstein
in my youth, and as
a result, chose never to
work with him again
and warn others
when they did.
This behaviour
towards women
in any field,
any country, is
unacceptable,’
Ange told the
publication.
‘I met him for a business
meeting in Paris at which
he behaved inappropriately
and I had to push him off.
I got away without it
going further, but
the experience
left me shocked
and disgusted.
I have not
discussed this
before because
I wanted to
maintain my
privacy, but
I understand
it is important
to do so as
I hear about
other women’s
experiences...
This behaviour
is unacceptable
and needs to
be eliminated.’
‘When Gwyneth Paltrow was 22 years
old... he summoned her to his suite at the
Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel for a work
meeting... it ended with Mr Weinstein
placing his hands on her and suggesting
they head to the bedroom for massages,
she said,’ reports
The New York Times.
‘She refused his
advances, she said,
and confided in
Brad Pitt, her
boyfriend at the
time. Mr Pitt
confronted Mr
Weinstein, and soon
after, the producer
warned her not
to tell anyone
else about his
come-on.’
‘Oddly, despite having heard endless stories
about massages and hand-jobs in hotel rooms,
it doesn’t even cross my mind – not for a second
- that he might try the same on me. I laugh, make
a joke. Keep rambling. But he continues: “Just go.
I’m right behind you. I want to touch your tits. Kiss
you a little...” I can feel his breath. And it’s not
your average tipsy come-on. It’s sinister.
The sort of
thing that
makes you
want to run
away fast. But
as I extricate
myself... Harvey
utters a phrase
that has stayed
with me forever.
“Let’s hope it
all works out for
your boyfriend,”
he says. I was
never again
considered for
a Weinstein film,
and neither was
Ioan [Gruffudd –
the boyfriend and
now-husband].’
