Divide for Back Opening
Next Row:K2, sl 1, K1, psso, patt 18
(19, 20, 21, 21, 21), turn.
Cont on these 21 (22, 23, 24, 24,
24) sts for right side of back neck.
Next Row:K1, patt 4 (4, 6, 6, 8, 8),
purl to end.
Next Row:K2, sl 1, K1, psso, knit to
last 5 (5, 7, 7, 9, 9) sts, patt 4 (4,
6, 6, 8, 8), K1. 20 (21, 22, 23, 23,
23) sts.
Keeping patt correct at edge of
opening, dec one st (as before) at
armhole edge in every foll alt row until
16 (17, 18, 19, 19, 19) sts rem.
Work1row.
Break off yarn and leave rem sts on
stitch-holder.

With right side facing, join yarn to rem
22 (23, 24, 25, 25, 25) sts for left
side of neck and proceed as folls –
Next Row:K1, patt 4 (4, 6, 6, 8, 8),
knit to last 4 sts, K2tog, K2. 21 (22,
23, 24, 24, 24) sts.
Next Row:Purl to last 5 (5, 7, 7, 9,
9) sts, patt 4 (4, 6, 6, 8, 8), K1.
Keeping patt correct at edge of

NECKBAND
Join raglan seams, noting that tops of

With right side facing and using 2.75mm
circular needle, work across sts from left
side of back neck as folls – knit to last 2
sts, sl 1, K1, psso, work across sts from
left sleeve stitch-holder as folls – (K2tog,
knit to last 2 sts, sl 1, K1, psso), knit

up 8 (10, 12, 12, 13, 13) sts evenly
along left side of neck, knit across sts
from front stitch-holder, knit up 8 (10,
12, 12, 13, 13) sts evenly along right
side of neck, work across sts from right
sleeve stitch-holder as folls – (K2tog,
knit to last 2 sts, sl 1, K1, psso), work
across sts from right side of back neck
stitch-holder as folls – K2tog, knit to
end. 80 (88, 100, 104, 112, 112) sts.
Row 1: K3, * P2, K2, rep from * to
last st, K1.
Row 2: K1, P2, * K2, P2, rep from *
to last st, K1.
Rep last 2 rows once.
Cast off loosely in rib (on wrong side).

MAKING UP
Do not press. Join side and sleeve
seams. Make a button loop at neck
on left side of back opening. Sew on
button.
