FLAP (WORKED SIDEWAYS)
Using 6mm needles and 2 strands of
yarn tog, cast on 38 sts.
Row 1: K2, (P1, K1) twice, P2, (K2,
C4F, P2) 3 times, (K1, P1) twice, K2.
Row 2: (K1, P1) 3 times, K2, (P6,
K2) 3 times, (P1, K1) 3 times.
Row 3: K2, (P1, K1) twice, P2, (C4B,
K2, P2) 3 times, (K1, P1) twice, K2.
Row 4: As row 2.

Cont in patt until Flap measures 45cm

from beg, working last row on wrong

side.

Cast off in patt.

MAKING UP

Do not press. Sew one side edge of

flap to cast-on edge of main piece

(diagram 1). Fold flap over main

piece so that right sides are facing

and oversew edges (diagram 2). Fold

main piece with cast-off edge meeting

cast-on edge. Join side seams, working

through all 3 thicknesses at overlap

(diagram 3). Place insert inside cover.

Fold flap over front of Cushion.
