What are some
fat-burning foods?

COCONUT OIL - as we know, coconut oil
has a range of health benefits! However, it
contains some unique fatty acids which help
metabolism. Our metabolism is what keeps
all our chemical processes going on inside our
body that allows us to live, and also is the key
system in place that determines our fat burning.

GINGER - is also a great fat-burning food for a few
reasons; one - it is a thermogenic, so it helps raise
the temperature of our bodies and helps boost the
metabolism. Ginger also makes you feel full and
can stop you from overeating as it is also a natural
appetite suppressant!

GARLIC - is a powerful detoxifier as well as helping
boost the metabolism. Garlic also helps regulate the
ups and downs in your blood sugar levels. Make sure
you crush the garlic and let it come into contact with
air; raw garlic needs to be combined with oxygen to
activate its key compound, which is the ingredient
that is responsible for all garlic’s health and fat-loss
benefits!

GRAPEFRUIT - Grapefruit is high in vitamin C and
also great for burning fat. The enzymes in grapefruit
help boost your metabolism, and this in turn can
encourage fat loss. Just half a grapefruit for breakfast
is enough to help these processes. If you are not fond
of the taste, even smelling grapefruit essential oil can
help your metabolism.

True or false? Eating Fat Makes You Fat
It was once thought to lose weight we MUST cut
dietary fats from our diets. Fats contain more calories
per gram in comparison to the other macronutrients
(proteins and carbohydrates), so to lose fat we must
cut fat, right? WRONG!
From a health perspective, fats are great: they
keep our hormonal health in check, absorb vitamins
A and D, and help reduce inflammation. They also
help our metabolism and keep us fuller for longer. Fat
is the key nutrient for maintaining a
healthy weight. Fats also help
stabilise your blood sugar
levels. However, we are not
talking about the fats you
get from hamburgers
or pizza. It’s the healthy
fats that come from
fish, seeds, coconut oil
and nuts that promote a
healthier heart as well as
maintain your figure.
