How to transform your day.

odern life can be exhausting. Between working,
cooking, cleaning, exercising, taking care of
kids (if you have them), a partner, seeing family,
making time for friends and a social life, there’s a
lot to cram into every day!
Sometimes it feels like it’s all too much, and it can all be very
overwhelming - especially if you’ve been pushing yourself for a
long period of time. When you’re in the middle of everything it
can be really hard to get time to look at everything objectively,
because taking time out is the last thing we want to do. The
problem is that without looking at things from a different
perspective and making positive changes that align with our
goals, the chances of things changing is significantly lower.
So I want you to take yourself to task! Make a list of all the
things you do daily and then put a big red line through the
things that are not essential. There are so many things that can
zap our time and energy, so I’ve listed a few below that you may
not even be aware of.

Time and energy wasters....
Excessive screen time
Negative thoughts
Negative people
Behaviours that don’t
get you closer to your goals
Unhealthy foods
Unhealthy habits
Unhealthy relationships
Procrastination
Spending time on tasks you
should delegate
Avoiding difficult
conversations

This is by no means a complete list, but
l of these things waste time and energy
that could be better spent on productive
tasks that make you feel good.
So my advice is to get them out of your life ASAP. Stop
putting things off, avoiding things, and taking on too many
tasks because you can’t say no. Make yourself a priority, and put
yourself first.
Then take note of everything you did that was non-productive
and figure out how to do less of it in future.
Sounds simple but hard to apply, right? Just do it bit by it.
Try to get rid of or significantly decrease one unproductive
behaviour each week.
This will allow time in your life for more productive
behaviours, downtime, and other
opportunities to come your way. It will
also help to emotionally declutter your
life so you will feel lighter, happier and
freer for the things and people that need
you most.
