STYLES

DECODED

TEA LENGTH
A ’50s-style gown
that finishes below
the knee, often with
a full, flouncy skirt.

BALL GOWN
Features a fitted
bodice and a big
full-length skirt that
flares out dramatically
from the waistline.

A-LINE
The fitted bodice and
skirt gently widens
from the waist to the
floor in an ‘A’ shape. SHEATH

Often made in
slinkier fabrics, this
cut stays close to the
body from top to toe.

EMPIRE-LINE
Tucks in under the
bust then skims out
over your waist and
hips before dropping
loosely to the floor.

MERMAID
This style remains
fitted until below the
knee, before it kicks
out to give the dress
a fishtail effect.
