A HEALTHY

GUTFUL
A recent study published in the
journal Scientific Reports has found
that having high blood levels of
indolepropionic acid – a by-product
of gut bacteria – appears to protect
against developing type 2 diabetes.
Researchers found that a diet rich
in fibre and wholegrains appears to
increase levels of indolepropionic
acid. Quinoa salad, anyone?
