ANCIENT GRAINS


Teff Chocolate Porridge with Fresh Fruits


INGREDIENTS



  • 75g (½ cup) teff grains

  • 475ml (2 cups) unsweetened almond milk

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • a few blueberries and raspberries (or fresh
    fruit of your choice)

  • a sprinkling of mixed seeds (pumpkin,
    sunfl ower, linseed, sesame)


SERVES: 2
PREP TIME: 2 MINUTES
COOKING TIME: 10 MINUTES


  1. Place the teff grains, almond milk, cocoa
    powder and vanilla extract into a saucepan.

  2. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer,
    covered for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally
    until thick.

  3. Pour into warmed bowls and top with fresh
    fruit and seeds.


PER SERVING (NOT INCLUDING TOPPINGS) 189kcals,
6.5g protein, 4.5g fat, (0.8g saturates), 31.3g carbs,
5.7g fi bre, 1.3g sugar, <0.01g sodium
