(Tina Meador) #1

Inga Kossowska & Tal Bergman

24 MARCH, 2013
CLARKE’S POINT RESERVE & DECKHOUSE, SYDNEY, NSW
PHOTOGRAPHY: SUGARLOVE WEDDINGS

On their fourth anniversary, Tal, 29, recorded messages on an iPod, left instructions on notes in landmark places

of their life together so far, and provided a driver, so that, Inga, also 29, could follow his clues to arrive at Clovelly

park bench with their favourite hamburgers in hand. He brought the vintage Moët & Chandon and the ring.

OUT FOR DINNER ‘He told me how
much he loved being with me, then
got down on one knee,’ says Inga.
She adds that Tal had had her
engagement ring designed
according to, ‘a very crude drawing I
had made of my “dream” ring’. Their
wedding would also be overlooking
the water. Says the bride, ‘We love
the outdoors, and the location of
Deckhouse looking back over
the Sydney Harbour
Bridge reflected our
lives growing up on
Sydney’s shores.’

SEW LOVELY Inga’s
mother, Hanna, a
dress designer, worked
with the bride to create
her ideal gown. ‘Because the
dress was couture, it was a work in
progress and every time I tried it on,
it was a unique experience, with the
dress evolving throughout the
process.’ The strapless, trumpet-
hemmed gown was made of crystal
and bead-embellished French lace.
Inga and Tal lived apart for several
days before the wedding, and she
says the smile on Tal’s face when he
saw her in her dress for the first
time, ‘made my day’.

An illusion neckline is
the perfect solution if
you feel uncomfortable
with a strapless gown.
It’s feminine and
elegant and suits
most women.
