ANIMAL CRACKERS At the
reception, a myriad reflective
surfaces, from vases to crystal tea
light holders, to mirror disks,
greeted guests with a twinkling of
light. Willow branches in tall vases
were hung with little glass lanterns.
The couple’s nicknames are ‘Bear’
and ‘Rabbit’, so Sandy’s cousin had
dressed a toy bear and rabbit in
bridal gear as part of the welcome
to the room. The couple had
sourced some decorative elements
from Etsy, and Will’s mum had made
and wrapped her famous rocky road
as bomboniere.SPEECH, SPEECH ‘The most
memorable speeches,’ says the
bride, ‘were those by my father and
Will’s father. My father is a very shy
man. He delivered his speech in
Chinese, and my little sister
translated into English for the guests.
It was heartfelt and
special. Will’s dad is
a creative arts
professor, so his
speech was incredibly
entertaining and filled
with amusing stories
from Will’s youth.’ The
couple danced to
I Won’t Give Up, by
Jason Mraz, which she
says ‘represents the
strong love and bond
