Use vases and table
decorations of varying
heights to add some
interest and volume to
table settings. They also
work well in large
venue spaces.

HOMESPUN LOVE The bride
carried a bouquet of lisianthus,
peonies, lavender and roses and
gave her guests homemade
strawberry jam, in keeping with the
bucolic feel. ‘A good friend of mine
came over and we spent the whole
day making the jam, bottling it and
adding thank you notes,’ says the
bride. Hilary’s maids wore full-length
gowns in an unusual shade of green
— the maid of honour wore a
V-neck style with loose cap sleeves
while the other maids donned
one-shoulder numbers. ‘I wanted a
simple but elegant gown, and I have
a love for emerald green, which I
guess goes back to my love of the
land and nature.’
