HAPPY TIMES On their wedding
day, Jane gave Daniel a TAG Heuer
watch. ‘He had always wanted
one,’ says Jane, ‘so it was nice to
surprise him’. She spent the
morning getting ready with her
bridesmaids, having breakfast and
champagne. ‘I was really
appreciative of all they had done;
because I live in Darwin they did a
lot of legwork for me. It was lovely
to have that time with them.’ At the
ceremony, Jane walked down a
black aisle carpet towards
a gloriously colourful
floral arch, where
Daniel was waiting.
PHOTO TOUR The
best moment of the
ceremony, says Jane,
was when they
exchanged rings; she says
she felt so happy walking hand in
hand, back through their guests
under a shower of rose petals. The
newlyweds drove around Sydney in
black London cabs, having photos
taken at picturesque sites, and
stopping at Pie Face for pies
because they were ravenous.
‘It was fun,’ she says. ‘We were
mucking around in the park, being
silly and it reduced the stress.
We started to really enjoy ourselves
at that point.’
Choosing a strong
colour for your
bridesmaids’ dresses
creates a great
contrast to a
white gown.
