COUNTING BABIES
Pamela Cottrell, from Cleveland, Qld:“I’ve recently finished making these two baby quilts. Both of
daughters have friends who are having babies, and they both really liked this cute design,Counting
by Wendy Doyle, which featured inHomespunVol 8 No 12. I’m also in the process of finishing a third one.
It’s a very quick pattern to make. Hope you like my versions.”

Madeline Collins,
from Middle Ridge,
Toowoomba, Qld:
“I made this quilt as
a 21st gift for Rachel and
also as a memento of her
recent trip to Europe
with my handsome son,
Sean. I was inspired by

LIONS ON THE LOOSE
Kerri McArdle, from Mudgee, NSW:“I’ve been
a huge fan ofHomespunsince its inception and
recently converted from the paper to digital
edition via subscription. I’d been on the lookout for
something to make as gifts for my two grandsons
and was instantly taken with the soft toy lions
(The Mane Attraction),by Kate Henderson, in the
October 2013 edition (Vol 14 No 10). Needless to
say, I got to work straightaway and came up with
two colourful renditions that were well received
and now go by the names of Stripy and Spot. Keep
the patterns and stories coming as I try to work
out how many lifetimes I’ll need to complete all
the projects I’ve earmarked since the first issue.”

BOWLED OVER
Maxine Ford, from Numurkah, Vic:
“Here’s a photo of Howzat! (by
Anne-Marie Connault, from Homespun
Vol 14 No 1). I just finished this young
man for my great nephew’s birthday.
It was a wonderful project to do. I enjoy
your magazines and always find
something to do from them. They’re very
good value, as the patterns are included.”
