VAL’S MACHINE-THREAD TIP Although the only machine sewing on this project is to stop the edges of the fabric from
fraying, I always check how the thread is wound on the spool before putting it on the machine. If it is ‘cross wound’, meaning the threads form an ‘X’ pattern,
it’s best if the spool goes on a horizontal spool pin on the machine. If the thread is ‘stacked’ with parallel winds, then it should go on a vertical spool pin.STITCHERY GUIDE
