Project Melton Library & Learning HubPart of ADCO’s scope for this project was to undertake research and development on all building materials to ensure compliance with the
requirements of the Green Building Council materials rating tools. Significant time and resources were allocated to this task and the result is that
the Melton Library and Learning Hub is only the second project to be awarded a 5 Star Green Design rating under the new rating system.
A 48,000 litre rainwater harvesting tank captures all the rainwater from the building’s roof. Highly efficient fixtures and fittings, and the use of recycled
water ensure that reliance on the town’s main water is as low as possible.
