Thredbo’s Cannonball Festival once again
delivered in spades proving it is Australias
fastest growing mountain bike festival in only its
second year.

Rain did interrupt the weekends proceedings but
it only made the racing just that little bit tighter.
It certainly livened up the RockShox Pumptrack
Challenge where Blake Nielsen and Caroline
Buchanan took out the honours.

With imminent thunderstorms Saturday
afternoon the Flow Cup racing was pushed back
to Sunday morning where local boy, Thomas
Crimmins took the win in the men’s and Sarah
Booth in the women’s.

Sunday afternoon Andrew Crimmins the
defending Australian Open downhill winner,
stole the show once again with an almost five
second advantage. Tracey Hannah took the
womens’ title by over fourteen seconds her,
World Cup prowess shining through.
